MUAY THAI

Muaythai (thaiboxing) is known as the science of eight limbs because it is characterized by the combined use of fists, elbows, knees, shins. Muay Thai became widespread internationally in the twentieth century, when practitioners defeated notable practitioners of other martial arts

 

The Minotaur Gym has been running since 1993 and has produced over 50 area, british, international & world Champions. 

BOXING

Boxing is a massive part of the art Muay thai, and even though the Minotaur gym is a Thaiboxing Gym we do cover alot of Tradional western boxing in all classes. Sometimes a whole class will be dedicated to just boxing. 

FEES

£7 per hour session - £10 for two sessions

 

£60 Monthly Membership (access to all classes per month) 

PRIVATE TRAINING 1-2-1's

 

Private lessons £40 1 hour/£20 30 minutes, optional block booking 10 sessions/£350 (to be used within 3 months from booking).

1ST Class - 7:40 pm to 8:40 pm 

Beginners & Advanced 

- Shadow Boxing 

- Boxing Pad Work / Boxing Sticks

2ND CLASS - 8:40 pm to 9:40 pm

Intermediate & Fighters

- Boxing Sparing

- Thaiboxing Sparing 

- Strength & Conditioning  

 

 

Sundays 

 

12:00 to 13:00

Fighters/ Members Sparring & Open Matt

 

- 25 Rounds Sparing or Free Style Pad Work 

 

 

COVID 19 UPDATE 

We will be opening back up on SUNDAY 2nd August.

Due to having limited numbers in the gym, it will be MEMBERS only for the time being.

We also have a new temporary timetable until said otherwise.

* Members must book in before hand, if you have not registered for a session you will not be able to train.

* To book in please text/ call for gym number or contact Lewis directly.

* Please come ready with hand wraps & shorts on.

* You must bring your own Gloves and shin pads.

* Water fountain will be out of use so being your have your own water bottle.

* Must bring own disinfectant.

* Hand sanitiser will be available at the entrance and exit of the gym.

* Temperature checks as you walk into the gym.

* There will be no spectators inside the gym.

* No entrance into the gym until your session has begun to allow the previous session to leave safely.

* The gym will have a one way system for entering and exiting the gym. You will exit the gym through the back door.
